Vintage 70s Coty Sweet Earth Fragrances, The Flowers of 1776

Perhaps as a nod to the upcoming United States Bicentennial in 1976, Sweet Earth presented a lovely version of ‘The Flowers of 1776’. These Coty fragrances – in their signature triple fragrance cream perfume compacts – represented the fragrances of the fields and gardens of America in 1776. The Colonial Wildflowers collection included Wild Rose,… Read more »

Levi’s Junior Collection For Gals, 1975

Levi’s debuted a collection for girls/women in the 1970s. This Junior line included pants, jeans, jackets, jumpers, skirts and shirts that were cut and styled to fit just you (and not him). I can still smell this! I remember carrying around Dr Pepper Lip Smacker when I was in college, and applying it between classes. The tube was HUGE (4 times bigger than any other lip gloss), and it smelled -and tasted- fantastic. It was very gloppy and moisturizing, and left a sheer sheen of color. Perfect… Read more »

Coty Your Face Makeup, 1973

The adorable model Bonnie Lysohir is in this ad for Your Face makeup by Coty. This collection came in cute little tubes and containers. The best one was the Your Face foundation tube that had its own concealer in the cap. It was genius, and I remember using it to cover my interminable pimples. Ah,… Read more »
