This is a cute and stylin’ 1940s sailor hat to crochet. It looks more like a fascinator hat to me, and is uniquely indicative of World War II fashion. ~Marilyn

Jean Shrimpton Cover Girl Vogue April 1963
I am 99.9% positive that this is model Jean Shrimpton on the cover of Vogue magazine. Vintage 80s Valentino Panther/Leopard Print Collection
Leopard print – or Panther pattern, as described here – has always been in fashion. Valentino Boutiques featured these tawny neutrals with playful animal themes in a 1987 collection. In luxurious cashmere and suede, they personified the over-the-top 80s style. MEOW! ~Marilyn

Hot Sox + Hot Nitz + Frye Boots, 1975
Frye boots were all the rage in 1975. What was even better was the array of socks, leg warmers, hats, gloves and scarves by Hot Sox and Hot Nitz to brighten up the boots. I loved this funky and colorful 70s vibe to all the accessories! ~Marilyn 😀
70s Does 20s? Vintage 1973 Sandler of Boston Chunky Shoes
This is a really interesting take on selling shoes. Sandler of Boston was advertising their very chunky 1970s shoes and boots as being reminiscent of your “mother’s mother” shoes she wore in the 1920s. This was a stretch, as no shoes in history were as monstrous as 1973 shoes! Certainly not 1920s Flapper shoes, which… Read more »
